Legend has it, that the Tangram was created when a Chinese monk ordered his student to travel the world. He was to record the diversity and beauty he encountered on a ceramic plaque. Unfortunately, the plaque broke beforehand and the student could no longer put it together. In constant attempts to make it, he laid countless patterns and pictures with the fragments. Thus it became clear to the student that he can find infinite variety and beauty, even in the simplest things, even in these seven ceramic discs.

Whether the story is true or not, we cannot judge. But there is no doubt that the initially inconspicuous tangram, a source of rich creativity, is more necessary than ever these days.
